Oct-13-09  offramp: Who wrote this game's only note, "Equal chances, quiet position (=)"? He must be used to some thunderously complicated positions. Sugar Ray could certainly have played on from here. This is the final position

White has an extra piece for 2 or 3 pawns. He would probably win but it would take a long time.

Zkid: I'm not sure about your line, but the only "quiet position" I see here would be in comparison to nuclear war.
Oct-15-09  messachess: Maybe, the ghost of Tal?
Oct-16-09  kingsindian2006: this is one heck of a dynamic equal position!!!! i expect a draw here from super GM's maybe ......but youngsters should play this one out for them and for the fans...:)

dotsamoht: Ray could have played on, but he was trying to clinch first place, take a little break, and maybe, I dunno, have a life. Perhaps there was a cute girl he wanted to talk to in a cafe. After 7 wins in a row, I think he was within his rights to give a draw just because he wanted to.
