Oct-13-09		offramp: Who wrote this game's only note, "Equal chances, quiet position (=)"? He must be used to some thunderously complicated positions. Sugar Ray could certainly have played on from here. This is the final position click for larger view There could follow 25...Qxf6 26. fxe5 Qxe5 27. Qd4 Qxd4 28. cxd4 fxe4+ 29. Ke2. click for larger view White has an extra piece for 2 or 3 pawns. He would probably win but it would take a long time.

Jan-05-10		dotsamoht: Ray could have played on, but he was trying to clinch first place, take a little break, and maybe, I dunno, have a life. Perhaps there was a cute girl he wanted to talk to in a cafe. After 7 wins in a row, I think he was within his rights to give a draw just because he wanted to.
