Nov-16-09  Raf: does anybody know what's next? why black resigned?

  Landman: 19...♘xe5 20.♘xe5 ♗xe5 21.♖xd7, or 19...♗e6 ♗b7. Maybe 19...♗c8 is best
Nov-17-09  Mulyahnto: Looks like black will lose a piece or the exchange. If black chooses to defend with 19...Bc8, 20 Bb5 looks nasty for black.
Nov-17-09  zatara: After 19...Nxe5 20.Nxe5 black can capture with the rook so 20...Re5 21.Rd7 Rg5 but even now black is practically lost because both rooks will be out of play after Bb7 and Bd5 (where the rook on the 8th rank has to guard the f7 pawn for life)and the kingside pawn majority would win the game although I have doubts about all these..
Nov-17-09  WhiteRook48: 18...e5??
Nov-18-09  waustad: zatara's lines look a lot like what I've been playing against my computer. Time also was hanging over Mamedyarov's head if I recall from watching it live on Chessbomb and/or the official site. With 42 rounds it is hard to remember all of those details for sure.
Nov-18-09  A Karpov Fan: no allegations from mamedyrov this time? 19 moves...
Jun-01-10  Mulyahnto: <zatara: After 19...Nxe5 20.Nxe5 black can capture with the rook so 20...Re5 21.Rd7 Rg5 but even now black is practically lost>

19...Nxe5 20. Nxe5 Rxe5 21. f4 loses the exchange.
