Nov-28-09  ashalpha: timhortons, 43...Be5 barely holds the draw which is the real reason for the draw (44. b5 f3 45.Bxf3 Rh2+ 46.Kg1 and it is a perpetual, Kf1 in the sequence is met by Bd4) 42...Rxd1 is an admission from Kamsky that he has nothing but a draw and will probably get worse if he tries anything else. A very good game from Wesley...I do not think Kamsky can claim that White played badly :-).
Nov-28-09  jaimenarin: Congrats Gm Wesley So!

Nov-28-09  rjsolcruz: Songs of Joy

The freezing weather in Siberia which GM Joey mentioned reminded me of America who sang,

"Ain't it foggy outside?"

This hot from the oven draw and pass to R4 at the expense of defending Ch Kamsky reminded me of Eagles who sang,

"There's a new kid in town."

The onset of the Advent season reminded me of the Christmas song,

"Joy to the world ..."

  amadeus: Thanks, CG.

And Wesley should try to quote Monty Python in his next interviews. His chances of being on Anand's team would increase a lot :)

(not to mention that both of them are e4 players, and Anand lived in Philippines when he was a kid... time to pay back all those prizes from the tv show:)

Nov-28-09  menorc2001: congratulation again wesley!!! keep up the good work!! from menor coronado of nagcarlan chess association & Laguna Chess Association
