Jan-21-10  magnuschess: My predict is also draw , because +4 advantage is enought to win clear or finish 2nd or 3rd place , he needs just draws against big guns and one winning all of remain games , so after the round 4 , he will not try to win , he just wants to equal positions and win or draw endings i think...

Ulhumbrus: If Shirov instead of Kramnik had played the match with Kasparov in London for the world championship in 2000, what do you suppose the final score might have been?
Jan-21-10  mysql: Has Shirov ever won against Kasparov?
Jan-21-10  magnuschess: of course kasparov would win , and he didn't give any game i think ... +4 or +5 would be final score at least...

Domdaniel: I predict ... that two guys will position and reposition symbolic objects on a checkered plane surface, incurring a risk of ego damage.
Jan-21-10  rnbateman: Should be easy for Shirov!!!

That time was around the peak of Shirov's career plus players get extra motivation in a world championship match. Nobody thought Alekhine would beat Capablanca and had never won a game before the 1927 match.

Jan-21-10  A Karpov Fan: fischer's record against spassky was not so great going into the match either....Shirov should have had the shot he won.
