Bc6 is an interesting try, protecting a4 and allowing the knight to spring.

swordfish: The other two games today were drawn, so if Topalov can hold this, he is virtually certain of winning the tourney.
Feb-23-10  ajile: Maybe white wants Bc6-Bb5. White is kinda tied up here a bit.

Ulhumbrus: I am off for now. It remains to be seen whether Grischuk will try to arrange h3 and g4.
Feb-23-10  chessic eric: judging from the Rybka line, it looks like <Bf3> must intend Bxh5,gxh5 Qxf5+ if black's response is to try to exchange queens...

Interesting idea. But could a human see this idea?

I'm trying to find a forced win from there and haven't yet (although there is nothing forcing black to recapture on h5). 42...Re2 (just played) might make the idea more visible than otherwise, but I doubt it would enter into white's plans. <If> someone played Bf3 against me, I suppose i'd at least consider the idea, but would soon conclude that it isn't a real threat (however mistaken i could be shown to be by the bot).

Feb-23-10  ajile: Will Gris find e4?

Tricky stuff.
