Kibitzer's Corner
Apr-04-10  Shah Mat: enormously instructive endgame. chucky really drew this one out to the bitter end.
Apr-04-10  ounos: 34. ...Kd8 is an instructive mistake.
Apr-04-10  ounos: Heh, I wrote my comment in parallel with <Shah Mat>, it is curious that we both found something instructive here :)

  whiteshark: O rly, was it?
Apr-04-10  ounos: Also, there was a slightly faster win in the end: 84. Kc7 (Rh7+ Kc8, with imminent mate)

HeMateMe: Nice game. I like this opening, where white ignores the pin on the f3 Knight. If White plays energetically, the doubled pawn weakness on f3 shouldn't be a big worry.

Nice rook engame.

AylerKupp: It seems to me that after 54...Rh7 the h-pawn falls and it's White that's fighting for the draw. What am I missing ?

HeMateMe: I think white then plays 55. K-g8, attacking the rook. If black wins the pawn, the rooks are traded off, and the white king marches to the queenside and munches on the pawns.
