fredthebear: This becomes a sort of French Defense, Exchange variation where a quick c5 does not belong. (Black often plays 2...d5 in the Alapin variation, but recaptures 3...Qxd5 since Nc3 is not possible.) Black is taking some risk virtually anytime he starts with four consecutive pawn moves.

Improvements for Black seem to be 6.cxd4 or 7.Bxc5. A kingside minor piece belongs on the e7-square, not the Black queen. The Black king needs to get castled off the open e-file. 12...Qe7 is played for the second time to prevent Qd8#, leaving White up by a minor piece. Black avoids 14...QxQg5 since he's down material and does not want to simplify, and drops another minor piece. 16.Rg1 forming a battery is a nice find for White, confidently leaving two minor pieces en prise. The Black queen probably should have taken one w/check, but Black's game won't untangle itself even if she does.
