May-11-10  vonKrolock: Good morning sport fans - hmmm - after <28.Na5, the black B shouldbe brought to 'a8', inorder ofkeeping 'f3' pinned

Nigel Short: Extravagant chess. Topalov really doesn't seem to have any fear at all. I would be very nervous about plonking a knight offside (linesman!)on a5 with a g5-g4 advance imminent.
May-11-10  AdrianP: Now Black needs to get going with ...f5, ...g5 etc.
May-11-10  Sashadrago: Hello! Can somebody please provide a link to the live comment by S. Shirov, in Russian? Spasibo, A.

twinlark: 28...Ba8. Looks like Black is willing to let go of his c-pawn.

autolycus: Maybe Topalov is counting on e4 to block the diagonal and cover f3 with his a3R.
May-11-10  vonKrolock: Well, that prelate in a8-h1 diagonal looks really very threatening ...

An Englishman: Good Morning: It would prove rather amusing if either player won from this opening. Is anyone else wondering if the Knight is intended for e5?
May-11-10  A Karpov Fan: If Toppy loses in Bulgaria will they flog him naked through the streets?
May-11-10  AdrianP: Surely White regrets g3 now?

May-11-10  Papagambit: my thoughts too Nigel, 29. ...g5 and ....h5 and ....g4 seem imminent and strong threats W may lose this match in regular time!

May-11-10  ajile: White could triple on the c file.

Maybe he just manuvering to play Nc4 with tempo gain.

Yes, it has. But I am in agreement with GM Short that Topalov may be sticking his neck out a little too far here. Anand meanwhile may be sharpening his ax.

Robin01: Does white intend to bring his rooks back to the "d" file and try to exchange the heavy pieces? That would seem like a good plan.

acirce: Well, no result - 1-0, draw or 0-1 - would surprise me at all here.

Frankovich: The game could still end in a draw but it won't be a dull one. Kudos to both players.

An Englishman: Good Morning: Looks like Anand didn't like the prospect of Nc4-e5. Suddenly the game is getting tense. e3-e4,g7-g5; Ne3 is one possible continuation, but I must leave now. I hope everyone enjoys the rest of the game.
