Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-22-10  JonathanJ: this looked so drawish in the middlegame
Jun-22-10  llauro: Well, bad times for Wang. He is going to drop many ranking positions in the next FIDE list :(

In this game it seemed the draw was the most expected result just after trading the Queens, but somehow after move 35 or so, or Wang started to make some very small inaccuracies or Nisi managed to get an increasing dominance. Perhaps the big mistake is on move 56

Wang played 56. Rxg4 when something like 56. Rf6 was required to free the advance of his central pawns to get counterplay.

Anyway, at that point he was already in disadvantage (not sure if the position still could lead to a draw)

HeMateMe: It did look like a draw. It looks like pushing the b pawn gives white two weak pawns, that allow blacks king to penetrate the position. If the b pawn isn't pushed so far, the game might have been drawn.
Jun-23-10  guikfc: 25.f3 is a mistake, because after 25..c6!,white can't take the "c" pawn and d5 becomes weak.25.b5 looks better. By the way,the ending after 56.e5+,Kxd5;57.exd6,Kxd6;58.Rxg4 looks like a draw even without the "g" pawn.
