But if you want a better picture of their current strengths, just look at their games in the last 18 months: +5 -0 =8 to Carlsen in all formats, with +1 -0 =3 to Carlsen in classical. In this game, Anand was under a lot of pressure the entire time (he criticizes his move 21...a5 as unnecessarily creating weaknesses) so it's not really any huge surprise he eventually cracked and allowed 41. Bxh5! |
