Landman: First big division: Lagrave 9...Nd7, Nakamura 9...c6, Polgar 9...Ne8. Looks like Naka has the biggest fan base - 9...c6 is much less popular than the other two suggestions but it looks to be winning over 50% of the vote.

Ulhumbrus: <whiteshark: <6... Nc6> What's it called? Yugoslavian Line?> I am not sure, but it may be called the Panno line, as in the games Portisch vs Petrosian, 1966 and Petrosian vs Spassky, 1966

Landman: Err, "much less popular" refers to previous master-level play.

moronovich: Does someone listen to the audiolive !?
I do find Maurice rather annoying.Like he cannot cope with Garry. But it is interesting though.

Marmot PFL: Magnus wants to take world out of book. I expected 10 Ne1

  kellmano: Hmmm. Naka says this:

<Alright, I do not play this line with 7...e5. I am officially out of book. Therefore, don't trust any of my suggestions!>

Sep-10-10  vonKrolock: Bg4, following also the previously chosen plan...
Sep-10-10  vonKrolock: ...principle

Marmot PFL: I find myself more often agreeing with Lagrave, but we are losing the votes.

Landman: 10...a5, 10...Bg4, 10...Ne8. They all look good! =) Again the World goes with Naka's suggestion.
Sep-10-10  mack: 10.a4? Pshaw

Ulhumbrus: One game where Black lost after in effect White played dxc6 in reply to ...c6 ( Black played actually ...c5 and White played dxc6) is the game Korchnoi vs R Byrne, 1973 which appears in a book of Korchnoi's best games, a book which Korchnoi said had been published without his permission.

Sep-10-10  ajile: They keep saying Magnus is the best chess player in the world. Maybe by rating but ANAND is the World Champion.
Sep-10-10  madlydeeply: Of COURSE Polgar picks Ne8...getting the pieces out of the way of her pawns! Charge!

Marmot PFL: Can see white coming Be3 and then down the c file. Not sure what black has.

Sneaky: Moves like ...Ne8 are a bit too subtle for a brash and violent world. It has to do with the American culture, wanting everything NOW and not willing to wait for it.
Sep-10-10  mack: Black's position is just fine. Maybe ...Rc8 soon.

Ulhumbrus: The c file has opened for White, while Black has yet to open lines on the King side.

kellmano: Once again I vote for Polgar. This time 13.....Nh5

This is pure mysogyny
