HeMateMe: Hey, Judit is playing a girl! Must be a time forfeit, blitz game. Kointseva held up pretty well.

Sastre: Even after 38...Bg6 39.Nf4 Bf7, I think Black is probably lost because she has two major weaknesses. The Black King will be unable to defend both the d5 pawn and White's passed h-pawn (after White plays f3 and g4). Furthermore, White has no real weaknesses and the Black Bishop will have to remain tied down to defending the d5 pawn.

perfidious: This is a very easy win for White; all she needs to do after 38....Bg6 39.Nf4 Bf7 is run the king round to the queenside as though this were a pawn ending. The threat of creating a passed pawn will be enough, so there's no hurry. Black is bound hand and foot.
Nov-13-10  ReikiMaster: 21...c6 22.c4 Ra7 lets black double Rooks on a-file making it harder for white to find active play. 29...Bxd2 gave white a comfortable ending with a pawn up.
Nov-13-10  kurtrichards: Judit is still the best after all these years...
May-29-11  newzild: 24. Bxc7! is a cute shot.

After 24....Rxa1
25. Rxa1

Black cannot play

24...Qxc7

because of:

25. Nxd5 Q (any)
26. Nxc7 Qxc7
27. Ra8+ Qf8
28. Rxf8+

And White is up a queen and pawn for rook.

Jun-14-11  newzild: Sorry, a typo there. Should have been 26. Nxe7+

Richard Taylor: Black mostly had the advantage until 21 ... bxc3.

And 22...f6 seems to equalise vs. 22...Rb8 ?!
