  perfidious: At a guess, this is time trouble at the end, though it's true that in positional battles, Robson's looked completely outclassed facing 2600+ GMs in recent events.

It's a far cry from beating the crap out of players like myself, or stronger still, in open Swisses. At this level, not everyone will let you play your Sicilian, or give your favourite lines against the Sicilian a chance. Even Fischer got some rather brutal lessons early in his career. All part of the learning process though, and he'll eventually be the stronger for it.
