  Retireborn: Unlucky Capa misses that he can win by sacrificing his queen with 26.Nxe6+ fxe6 [26...Qxe6 27.Rxa3 Rxa3 28.Qb2+ wins a rook] 27.Qxb7+ Ne7 28.Qxa8! Rxa8 29.Rxa8.

I found this surprising at first glance, and elaborated the following variations:

(i) 29...Qb2 30.Rc7 Kf6 31.Rf8+ Kg7 32.Re8 wins the knight;

(ii) 29...d4 30.exd4 Qxd4 31.Rc7 Qb4 32.Raa7 again wins material;

(111) 29...Nf5 30.Ra7+ Kh6 31.Rcc7 g5 32.e4 dxe4 33.Bxe4 g4 34.Rxh7+ Kg6 35.Rag7+ with reduction to a won pawn ending.

After 26.Rxa3 he soon teaches a Q ending a pawn up, but it is too difficult to win, even for him.
