Sally Simpson: Did these two really play the exact same game a few days apart in the same tournament. This one on the 30th Dec 1967 and this one G Ligterink vs Adorjan, 1968 on the 3rd Jan 1968.

Maybe, who knows, the seconds game was a play off for the places and the two agreed to repeat an earlier game.

Retireborn: Geoff, in those days the Niemeyer (I think it was under-21, not under-18 but I could be wrong) was played in two stages, preliminary and final. They both qualified for the final and then repeated the previous game.

The other example I know is two games from the 1987 Portisch-Nunn 1987 match. I am sure there must be others.

  Sally Simpson: Thanks Retireborn.

I was thinking that way, it was played over the new year, which like Hastings can sometimes cause confusion as the year changes halfway through the tournament resulting in the same game sneaking into the database due it being recorded under different years.
