Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-13-11  acme: Looks like black's troubles begin with 13. ...Qxd4. Nc6 seems more natural.

computer chess guy: <acme: Looks like black's troubles begin with 13. ...Qxd4.> Yes, taking the pawn was unwise. Very nice following sequence including the sac 19. Rxh7!. Possibly home prep.
Feb-14-11  CWQ: I found this game to be one of the more entertaining games to watch yesterday. I got the feeling it was all home prep up until 22.Rxb7,Khismatullin seemed to settle into a longer think just before Rxb7, I thought he was trying to see it through to the end at that point.A thoroughly enjoyable attack to watch. I try to see Kurnosov play when I can, ever since the noted "Shak" allegation game a copuple of yrs back.

hedgeh0g: Taking the pawn seemed like the obvious reply. This game definitely smelled of home prep: the compensation for the sacrificed material was far from clear for a while. Very nice play by White and quite an aesthetic final position.

Khismatullin was on the losing end of the famous "Connect Four" game = A Timofeev vs D Khismatullin, 2009

An Englishman: Good Evening: Brilliant play by White; naturally, one wonders if it was sound. Certainly, it would have been hard to find a perfect defense with the clock ticking.
Oct-01-11  Old King Cole: Retreating knight and rook moves clinch it for White, where at the end it seems the knight will roam and find the Black King.

Oct-01-11  bronkenstein: ´Denis the Menace´ , fits perfectly.
Oct-01-11  tbentley: Even though white sacrifices the knight, it's as if he's up the exchange, given the activity of the a8 rook.

  kevin86: A vicious...and comical king chase.
