GrahamClayton: White is almost in zugwang - none of his minor pieces can move due to being pinned, while any Queen move would result in capture.

wwall: 23.Qa1?! allows Black to cramp White's kingside. Best seems 23.exf5 or 23.Nxf5.

40.Nfd3 (threatening 41.Nxe5) looks too slow. White should uncramp his game with 40.fxg4, then 41.Ndf3.

41.Kf1? looks weak. Now White can play 41...Nh5 and threaten a family fork with 42...Ng3. Perhaps best is 41.Bc1 and 42.Qa2.

45.fxg4? allows another piece to attack the White king. Perhaps 45.Kd1.

Black also has mate with 49...Ba5 or 49...Qb1. White has no good moves any any of these positions.
