May-15-11  BobCrisp: So both players only disappeared to the toilet.
May-15-11  mrsaturdaypants: Very fun game. I'm assuming that Kramnik missed a win, but maybe not. Grischuk might have missed one too, though I don't think so.

(Short draws: bad. Draws like this: if you don't like them, you don't like chess. You might prefer Shogi, where captured pieces can come back onto the board.)

Clodhopper: Is Kramnick thinking of a win with 41 Qe5+, Qg7, 42 Qe1. If he can exchange pieces and Q-side pawns, he wins.

Sokrates: <Clodhopper: Is Kramnick thinking of a win with 41 Qe5+, Qg7, 42 Qe1. If he can exchange pieces and Q-side pawns, he wins.> But 42 Qd4 would make worse for white.

lost in space: Grishuck will win the match. Kramnick is simply too weak tactically.

  chancho: Qe5+ played.
May-15-11  SugarDom: With eternity on their clocks, it's a sure draw. Probably will end with a perpetual check by Kramnik...

Carry on chess community....
May-15-11  badest: This was an exciting game. I think that Grischuk's chances to win the match increased by moving on to the rapid part.

Sokrates: What is he up to? After Qe1, Qd5 will also do it.

I am BORED, in a controlled way. I am leaving to Planet Claire were chess is played more a' la TAL

May-15-11  14DogKnight: This was no boring draw.

parisattack: It was a 'fighting' draw at least. But this is a somewhat sorry Candidates so far. Unfortunately it is not as much the players as it is the state-of-the-game today. A Tal or a Fischer or a Kasparov or even/especially a Nimzovitch is sorely needed to give classical chess a boost.
