Kibitzer's Corner
May-16-11  BwanaVa: How many games and what Time control for the Gelfand-Kamsky playoff tiebreaks?
May-16-11  BobCrisp: 28.Bg1 was the fatal error. 51.Ke3 f5 would tax even <Gata>'s defensive skills.
May-16-11  AVRO38: <28.Bg1 was the fatal error>

The biggest blunder of the game was 1.e4. This reminds me of Topalov in Game 12 of the 2010 title match getting into a Lasker Defense!!

Don't these guys understand the situation? Topa needed to play 1.e4 then and Kamsky needed to play for a draw with white i.e. 1.Nf3.

May-16-11  arnaud1959: <The biggest blunder of the game was 1.e4> 1.e4 was still ok. 3.d4 was worse.
May-16-11  hungry hippo: 25 Bxf7+ and kamsky is through to the next round. wish he would have seen it.

<Robert Hess on ICC was amazed that Kamsky didn't see <<<25. Bxf7+!>>> Kxf7 26. Qc4+ Kf8 (26... Bd5 27. exd5 Ne4 28. d6+ Kf8 29. Qd5) 27. Qxc5+ Kg8 28. Qc4+ with positions that would have surely ensured his qualification.>
