Jun-25-13  jheiner: Cool backstory. Who would you play if you could?
Jun-25-13  paavoh: Maybe against a CC champion but in an OTB game...
Jun-25-13  newzild: I can't read the backstory because only the first four lines are visible and I can't scroll down. Also, the right side of the move list is cut off, so I can't see player ratings and stuff like that. Very frustrating!
I've been having this problem on the Chessgames site for months now. Anybody else?
Jun-25-13  talisman: <newzild> no...just java updates it seems monthly.
Jun-25-13  Gryz: There are 7 different viewers, you can chose from. Are they all giving problems ? There might be one that works for you ?
Jun-25-13  Estoc: <newzild> I had the same problem. Turned out I had the zoom function turned on, for some reason. I set it back to %100, and that fixed my problem.

AylerKupp: <Estoc> Thanks. I had the same problem with Chrome but not with IE. It turns out that I had Chrome set to 90% zoom and it's fine once I set it to 100%.
Jun-25-13  kevin86: The fork will win rook for knight.
Jun-25-13  The HeavenSmile: Here's what it says for anyone who can't view it:
This game came about because of a request from Swedish newspaper Afton-Tidningen. The paper invited readers to send in a dearest wish. Each week one wish was drawn from all those submitted and the paper tried to make it come true. Early in 1956 Elis Hugolf (a well known Swedish correspondence player) had his wish to play the World correspondence champion drawn. Cecil Purdy agreed to play and this game was the result. It was Purdy's last competitive correspondence game.

Domdaniel: <Newzild, Estoc> Thanks, I've had that problem too. Unzooming may fix it.

Sneaky: Real nice of Purdy to oblige the newspaper and the player. Not the most thrilling game, but a really sweet story.
Jun-25-13  catlover: That was a real "purdy" combination.
Jun-28-13  newzild: Thanks a lot, <Estoc> and <AylerKupp>!

I'm using Firefox. It turns out that "Ctrl 0" resets Firefox to default zoom and solves the problem.

Cheers.
