HeMateMe: I thought Adams was winning when he developed such active play on the c file. Not quite enough muscle to get the full point.

keithbc: why did not adams play R x c2 at one stage, instead of moving his rook away?!
Jan-28-12  optimal play: 33...Rec8 drives away the Knight from c3 leaving the pawn on c2 exposed to capture, seemingly without any adverse consequences. Yet instead of simply taking the pawn, Adams switches his Rook back to the e-file?! Whatever plan he had in mind quickly dissipates and the game soon ends in a draw. Kind of timid given that he's 160 points higher than Pert.
