Black's counterplay never got off.

Sep-07-11  haydn20: <Ja Dood> After 17...Rxf6 18 Ng4 Rf7 19 Re3 (Fritz 12) Black seems ok but the game continuation also seems to give Black good play. He should probably hunker down for a draw aound move 40. The ill-advised 42...Nb5 followed by 45...Rc8 are what kills him IMO.
