Shams: <Robyn Hode> <13 Bd3!? lets Judit equalize. Much better was 13. Be2.> Really? Why, out of curiosity?

  SoltanGris: Polgar has equalized.
Sep-07-11  lostgalaxy: The a pawn will join its brother and gains a tempo on the other Knight.

Shams: Shredder is not a fan of White's last.
Sep-07-11  Bluegrey: One reason probably why Be2 is better is because the rook can see the d6 pawn directly and plus bishop can in the future go to f3 or d3 and there may be tactics if it goes to f3 and say the black knight on c6 is not there it directly attacks black's a8 rook if the e pawn is pushed. Just a thought though.
Sep-07-11  paavoh: I do not like Houdini's first line 14.- h6 giving Black -0.55. The Black K side is in shambles and Bxg6 and a Rook lift is imminent.
Sep-07-11  Michel Lassalle: Not only has Judith equalized but she is better because a black queen side attack is straightforward and seems quicker than a king side attack by white.

Shams: Kamsky has just found 22.Ba2 and is a shade over a pawn to the good, according to Stockfish, in this crazy position:

22...Nxd4 23.Nf6+ is one line.

Strongest Force: Is Judit NAKED on k-side?
Sep-07-11  Edmontonchessclub: She's got to avoid perpetuals too, which is tough with an exposed king. A perpetual will eliminate her.
Sep-07-11  lostgalaxy: White must hope for a perpetual check.

Sep-07-11  bangkokgambit: 17 e5 would be followed T__T
Sep-07-11  lostgalaxy: Poor Judit. Last move was bad.

JohnBoy: How does black survive 17.e5?
Sep-07-11  paavoh: I think the Kamsky-Svidler match has the highest quality so far, both games combined. CG should switch to that game :-)
