Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-24-11  Arcturus: First
Nov-24-11  waustad: All Hou needs is a draw. That seems likely.
Nov-24-11  Wild Bill: <24...Rfe8>
To state the obvious, White has the advantage in space, but I don't see very much she can do with it. A draw is as bad as a loss for her today.
Nov-24-11  parmetd: White has no advantage here... if anything black can claim the better half the draw. Black has a centralized king and two pawn islands to white's three pawn islands.
Nov-24-11  Ulhumbrus: 28 Rac1 pins the c7 pawn and ties the Rook on c8 to its defence.
Nov-24-11  Wild Bill: <@ parmetd>

<27...Kf7>
Yes, that's true now. I better get a dynamic cup of coffee.

Nov-24-11  Ulhumbrus: I am off for now. It remains to be seen whether Yifan Hou can win the match today.
Nov-24-11  parmetd: Lets say 28. Rac1 Ke7 29. Rc4 Kd6 30. Rec1 nothing happening here. No black weakness to be exploited.
Nov-24-11  parmetd: You should have stayed 5 more seconds... draw.
Nov-24-11  Wild Bill: Draw agreed.

Congratulations, young lady.
