waustad: Caruana seems to be maturing well. It will be interesting to see how good he actually gets.

Strongest Force: Fab Car is playing well; however Mag should trick him with some powerful moves.

technical draw: "I don't believe in luck, I believe in good moves"

Too bad. Caruana is going to need both today.

Strongest Force: Fab Car is playing better, it should be a struggle.

hoodrobin: Caruana should choose the most drawish one.

technical draw: A Caruana win will push him past Carlsen on the on the leader board. So don't think a draw is a given.

  Stonehenge: Isn't this Gelfand-Radjabov?
Jan-17-12

moronovich: Wrong game ! It is Gelfie Radja.
Jan-17-12  kamalakanta: Stonehenge, this is indeed Gelfand-Radjabov. Caruana-Carlsen is a Berlin Ruy Lopez.

Ulhumbrus: A King's Indian defence. Caruana could try the four pawns attack 4 e4 d6 5 f4 0-0 6 Nf3 as in the game Keres vs Bronstein, 1953

Jan-17-12  mack: Silly old Carlsen. One day he'll learn that he can save so much time putting the knight on h6 straight away.

Ulhumbrus: Carlsen has loosened his King side pawns permanently in return for putting White's QB out of play only temporarily. White may be able to arrange the moves f3 and Bf2 so as to bring the QB back into play.
