twinlark: Lovely endgame play by Dominguez. The continuous transformation of advantages leading to a final advantage of an unstoppable passed pawn when material was even in a scant endgame. Greatly underestimated player.

twinlark: It looks like Dreev made his critical mistake just before the time control. The simplification of all the rooks and pawns on the queen side looked drawish, but he overlooked that it lead to the forced loss of an important pawn on the king side.

<39...Rxa4> loses, while <39...Rxb3 40. Ra7+ Kc8>:

is a fairly easy draw as the loss of the f-pawn is not important, eg: <41. Rxf7 Qd3> and Black has enough as the presence of his heavy pieces behind White's lines creates counterplay that compensates for the lost pawn. White's Queen can't join the White rook to harass Black's king.
