  Peligroso Patzer: <MindCtrol9: *** I do believe <26.Nd6> was the right move.>

In that case, play would probably have continued: (after <26.Nd6>) as follows: <26. … Re7 27.Re1 f6>, after which the N cannot be maintained on d6 and seemingly should return to f5.

The move chosen by Aronian (<26. Re1>) probably was essentially just a transposition.

lost in space: White is much better (compared to the game up to this move) after 29. Ra4. The h-pawn is - as already stated by others - very strong now.

MindCtrol9: In that position,I think if I were playing an engame like that,Black has to swet a little.

Ulhumbrus: 29...c4 delays the potential capture Rxe4 and attacks the bishop on e3 which defends the pawn on f4

okba12: another way to prevent Nf5
Apr-28-12  goodevans: I've anticipated most of the last dozen 1/2-moves. The big surprise to me was that the K went to f8. I was sure it was going to h7.

Strongest Force: P-Funk lives (pawn funk)
Apr-28-12  goodevans: c4 was also a surprise. I don't understand this move.

queenfortwopawns: White is pretty much forced to play b4 here, or that rook on a4 looks really awkward.
Apr-28-12  chesssalamander: c4 makes Kramnik's bishop bad?

MindCtrol9: <31.Nf5> and <32.g4> Black has nothing moving the Rook to <b3> if that was the thinking <Re2> and that is it.

lost in space: 30. c4 was a surprise for me too.

Maybe white has (after 30...Rd3; played) 31. b4 cxb4 Bxb6 axb6 33. Rxb4 Nxf4 34. Rxb6 in mind?

luzhin: Kramnik can now try 31...Rxe3! 32.Rxe3 cxb4, which looks very playable for Black.

lost in space: What is with 31...Rxe3 32. Rxe3 cxb4 now? seems to be more than o.k for Black?!

MindCtrol9: The c4 move was with two ideas: one is to block the Bishop and complicate the endgame, and the other one is maneuvering the Knight to get the square <d5> if I still remember to play endgames.

MindCtrol9: The <b4. move I am not really sure if is sound, but who played is Aronian,a GM.As soon as I saw,I thought about <RxB> but it has to be deeply sought, too.
