Kibitzer's Corner
May-11-12  Cushion: Shredder thinks 86...Bf6! saves black.
May-11-12  goldenbear: <Cushion> Wow. That's amazing! Probably only a Tuesday puzzle because it's so obvious if you're looking for a puzzle answer, but very difficult to see without the cue.
May-11-12  diceman: <Cushion: Shredder thinks 86...Bf6! saves black.>

Put another way, 86...Bf6!,
86’s whites chance to win.

May-11-12  Everett: < diceman: <Cushion: Shredder thinks 86...Bf6! saves black.> Put another way, 86...Bf6!,
86’s whites chance to win.>

And that may not be the only possible save... But mistakes go both ways, as Seirawan missed 44.Nb2! and 45.Nc4, when the promotion of White's b-pawn will cost Black a piece.

May-12-12  310metaltrader: wow, what a cool stalemate with Bf6 or total flipping material equality
May-12-12  Everett: 8.Be2 seems to be rare enough to be a TN according to this database. Seirawan brings it out to f3 to oppose bishops on the long diagonal. After that, he seems to play nearly flawless chess until his 44th.
