waustad: In this short a match decisive may actually be deciding, but not necessarily.

parisattack: Short match; time to kick it up a notch. It is after all the World Championship.
May-13-12  kamalakanta: All my FIVE senses tell me it will be two more games before it gets exciting.

Chess for life: Sorry to disappoint you folks, but it seems likely that this will be another Grunfeld. No reason for either player to come out swinging this early in the match and take any unnecessary risks.
May-13-12  Sularus: <Chess for life> agreed :)

most of us know the thrill of clicking the refresh button (or pressing F5) at exactly 7AM USA/eastern and praying to see whatever first moves we want.

i still hope to see a 1. e4 in this championship :)

spinal pat: <karnak64> yes, sports enthusiasts are in for a real treat this year also the Olympic Games will take a nice chunk out of my time. Now why isn't chess an olympic game?
May-14-12  DicoStu: I am really looking forward to this game from a psychological point. So far, imho, I believe that Gelfand has the psychological edge. He played flawlessly, had a surprise prepared for game 1, looked like he ran into a surprise home prep by Anand himself and still stood strong under pressure. The longer Vishy is without victory, the better for Boris, I think. We haven't seen the best of him yet. What do you believe, who has the psychological edge prior to game 3?

Natalia Pogonina: Hi guys, hi Jennifer! My take is that Anand will keep trying in 1.d4 now that he knows that Gelfand has chosen the Gruenfeld in game 1.
