WannaBe: No, it's a weird choice by white to follow a line that have zero victory in CG's database... best is draw for white.
Jul-23-12  vinidivici: Yeah Moro 1.d4 d5 2.Bg5 is a rare opening called Levitsky attack. But in the blitz, many players try to make some surprise to their opponents. Cant blame anyone in here.
Jul-23-12  Poisonpawns: Julian Hodgson used to play this also along with the Trompowsky. It is a decent surprise weapon, but nothing to use regularly. There are a few decent lines that black can use that are pretty annoying for white. One I like is 1.d4 d5 2.Bg5 3.f6 and Nc6 as per Morozevich v King Loek a few year ago.

Honza Cervenka: Moro was clearly better here most of the game and he definitely blundered it away only after missing a few winning shots in the course of play. For example, after 38.Qb3 it is hard to find any reasonable move for black which is not leading to quick catastrophe.
