twinlark: After <71...Rb5+?>, White uses absolutely impeccable technique to bring home a tablebase K+R+P vs K+R+P endgame.

OBIT: Black, on the other hand, broke a cardinal rule in a textbook drawn position. At move 71, Black does not even need her g-pawn to draw - without the Black g-pawn this is Philidor's position. And, the drawing technique that every serious tournament player should know is to keep the rook on the third rank until the pawn has reached the sixth, then play the rook to the eighth rank.

In the game position at move 71, Black has her rook on her third rank, exactly where it should be, and she just needs to keep the rook on this rank to hold the draw. (Keeping the rook on b6 and playing waiting moves like ...Kf8 and ...Kg8 is fine.) However, she plays 71...Rb5+??, not only taking the rook off her third rank but letting the king through to the sixth rank. The pawn is soon lost, and after the capture the White king is in position to win the game. This really was an elementary blunder.
