Actually, it's Black who can resign after 23.e5!; 23.Bxd2! is also good enough, since 23...Qxd2 loses to 24.N(either one)e6+, e.g. Rxe6 25.Nxe6+ Kf7 26.Qxg7+ Kxe6 27.Qxg6+ Kd7 (27...Ke5 28.Qf5+) 28.Ra/fd1.

Sep-21-12  master of defence: <Eyal: Actually, it's Black who can resign after 23.e5!> What happens after 23...Qxe5?

24.Nxg6+ Rxg6 25.Qxg6 (with a mate threat on f7) 25...Kg8 (25...Qd5 26.Ne6+; 25...Qf6 26.Nh7+) 26.Bxd2 with ideas of Bc3 and/or Re1 and a crushing attack.
