technical draw: White can avoid the draw by playing 48.Qd7 check.
Oct-22-12  nolanryan: indeed it seems to avoid a draw but appears to have other side effects
Oct-22-12  yellowbikester: 48.Qd7 seems a good fighting move. Though, after 48...Rxd7 49.Rxd7 Qg7 50.Rxg7 Bxg7 it still seems a draw to me. Maybe Sergei could have tried 50.Rxb7 Be3 51.Rxg7 Kxg7 52.Ke2 Bxf2 53.Kxf2 and white seems to have a tiny advantage here due to the extra pawn but draw is the most logical outcome.
Oct-23-12  master of defence: Where´s the draw after 49...Kg8?

technical draw: <yellowbikester> Cool, your first kibitz. And it only took you 6 years! And I'm also glad to see you're a good sport with the gags.
