Phony Benoni: This really strikes me as a better POTD than GOTD, especially with such an ordinary puns. Perhaps it's because I'm not a fan of the Hedgehog, but it seems the pieces just shift around aimlessly until White walks into a tactic.

It's a little deeper than that, of course. White's troubles really start with 37.Re3, walking into a potential pin. Nothing fatal, but he needs to watch his step carefully.

39.Nd6 seems natural enough, but after 39...Rb4 White is already in some trouble.

40...Nc3 is a threat, and moving the knight from b3 allows the ...Bd4 pin. Meanwhile, Black is just going to double on the b-file, when something is going to give.

So White played 40.Ne4, and it's Puzzle Time.

how to give Black a quick way to win (with the N which at the moment was staying at the border of the chessboard).

offramp: It is always fun to read the kibitzing at Bindi Cheng 's page.
Feb-24-14  kevin86: Anybody remember the commercial that popularized the cha-ching?

I was a rally's restaurant-I understand the spokesman died soon after the commercial -sad :(

Feb-24-14  yureesystem: Those Grandmaster playing weird, all his pieces at the edge of the board and all the sudden a combination pops out of thin air and the fun thing white pieces was centralize but lost.
Feb-25-14  Cheapo by the Dozen: If White plays the other rook to d4 than he did, then I think Rd8+ gets him out of the mess losing mainly a pawn.
Feb-25-14  Moszkowski012273: 42...Ra3 is a horrible move
