Dec-13-13  Calar: Crazy, crazy game, just the kind Mamedyarov thrives on.

I'm sure Steinitz would have approved of Mamedyarov's usage of King as attacking piece in this game :P

Dec-14-13  fisayo123: <calar> Shak goes for the super-sharp 5.h4 variation but Karjakin goes for the more solid 5..c6, instead of 5..dxc4. The game just highlights the contrast in styles of the two players. Nice to see Shak crush Karjakin's conservative approach. Rather incredible use of the king too!! Let's hope Mamedyarov comes with this approach in the Candidates next year.
Dec-14-13  parisattack: Wonderful concept; inspired!

Dec-24-13  micartouse: If you played through these moves and said some current grandmaster played this rapid game with white, I'm sure many would guess "Shak" on first try.
