About as well as I write code.
|Jan-28-14|| ||HeMateMe: The moderator neglected to inform the audience about the side bet: If MC won, he gets to swap his hideous Artic Security-patched smoking jacket for Bill Gate's private collection of DeVinci's drawings. It worked out quite well for the younger man.|
|Jan-29-14|| ||FSR: Carlsen played coffeehouse chess (cf. J Grundy vs D Starbuck, 1879), well-suited to the weak opponent and the short time control, and it worked like a charm.|

I guess that kind of insight (and maybe also his good looks, http://www.theguardian.com/technolo...) is why Microsoft pays him the big bucks. >|
Apple had zero sales, and zero percent market share in mobile phones. Jobs was making a big fuzz though, claiming the iPhone would alter the entire competitive landscape of the IT and telecom markets.
Here is Ballmers reaction to the introduction of the iPhone:
|Jan-30-14|| ||Minitray: < WannaBe: Too bad Carlsen did not play "Our Great Dear Beloved Leader for Life" Kim Jung. >
Carlsen was scheduled to play the Great Dear Beloved Leader in one on one basketball.|
He chickened out though, and checked into rehab, when he learned Jong beat Rodman 100 to zero.

I priced them Sunday night and walked out. I can't believe how many people are willing to drop 130 a month on what's essentially a toy. The same people will hit Social Security age and whine that check is all they have to live on.

Quite the visionary, mr Olsen.
Probably most people wouldn't want a PDP-11 in their home though.

Yes. Magnus, Anand, Kramnik, those guys are morons.

For a peek into the life of Botvinnik, see this insight, courtesy of his colleague Averbakh:
<Later, I risked asking Ilya Abramovich (Kan) about this incident. He remarked sarcastically: <<<'Botvinnik thinks that he is world champion not only at chess, but in everything else. He- a totally ordinary person!'>>>>

The worst and most pointless video KC has ever made! Shades of Goldsbeus, and must be satirical in a non funny way.
"Magnus only had 9 seconds left on his clock!?"
