Kibitzer's Corner
May-17-14  patfoley: Why not 24 Re7.

There is the back rank mate to worry about, but I do not find anything that beats White.

May-17-14  mrbasso: Because 24.Qf4! is much stronger. White blundered later.
May-17-14  Conrad93: This is similar to the Chinese Variation, except white's move order has made Na5 even more effective.

Usually white has enough tempo to play Kb1 before the capture on b3.

May-17-14  Conrad93: Overall, it seems like Seric misplayed the opening.
May-17-14  patfoley: I don't see that 24 Qf4 is stronger.
May-18-14  mariola: 28. Bh4! was much stronger. If 28. ..f5 then 29. Nf6+ Bxf6 30. Qxg6+ and black's position is hopeless.

it's a common 'Yugoslav Attack' by transposition

May-18-14  paramount: 17...Nxe4....WOW.

It seems dubious,,,isnt it?

In the position the pawn storm from white looks atrocious but if it was me, i wouldnt do Nxe4 instead i would take back the knight (Ne8).

But i dont know...i didnt analyze deep enough.
