Oct-31-15  kamagong24: it's a fighting draw, those with crab mentalities will say otherwise

GO WESLEY!!!

Oct-31-15  epistle: OTHERWISE!
Oct-31-15  AzingaBonzer: Two games with Anand, both of which the older player easily drew. Contrast that with Carlsen's performance against Anand during the WC matches.

So's nowhere near ready to challenge for WC. Even if he had qualified for Candidates (which he didn't), he would probably place in the lower half--and that's being generous, assuming it wouldn't be like his debacle at Sinquefield. All of which is a moot point, seeing as he didn't even qualify.

The point here is a simple one: Wesley So is not the next Carlsen that you pinoys keep toting--not even close. And it gets really annoying when you keep acting like he is.

ambongtumbong: very good observation <AzingaBonzer>: He is not the next Carlsen right now. the present time..but who knows the future unless you are Marty Mcfly.

But can he be at least the next Ponomariov?

iking: but Wesley is way better than <epistle> .. minus a queen.
Oct-31-15  shintaro go: dont mind this Wei Yi fanboy...
Oct-31-15  shintaro go: it is white who has to prove his attack and his advantage. anand was on the defensive the whole game, who was happy to take the draw. cant blame wesley for taking it.

But they say he is already a <contender>. Which always make me want to break out into a song.

Nov-01-15  Pulo y Gata: Both players are content to draw (Anand played solidly, Wesley BS could have chosen a sharper opening like he did against Ding Liren - although that too ended in a draw and the opening was chosen for practical considerations, Ding being a KID expert having to face his own brand of poison).

All in all, this shows how deluded the Sonatics' in saying WBS will win and score an immoral game (Sorry, Anand loves his horses and won't sacrifice them so easily).

Nov-01-15  Captain Murica: What about the "chess styles" of these two great players? Would you "dare" comment on this or continue being the ignoramus fraudster who claims there is no such thing as style in chess? Do you need someone to "explicate" things to you?
Nov-01-15  Pulo y Gata: Produce the quote, wisely.
Nov-01-15  epistle: They are both great, but Anand and Ding have different chess styles.

perfidious: Lemme explain it like this: that, ah, poster is the king of West Moronicus, whence he rules with an iron hand.
Nov-01-15  Captain Murica: I'm going to watch the movie "Identity" wisely. I'm having split-double vision.
Nov-01-15  Pulo y Gata: Watch The One, about multiple universes. WBS can learn a thing or two there, for free (good business, hehehee)!
Nov-01-15  Mendrys: <AzingaBonzer...Wesley So is not the next Carlsen that you pinoys keep toting--not even close. And it gets really annoying when you keep acting like he is.>Who are you talking about? There are no comments here proclaiming him as the next Carlsen. Sure enough there are some annoying So fanatics but even more annoying are the people who can't help but point out that he is not going to be the next world champion whenever they see any kind of a positive post about him.
Nov-01-15  epistle: Here in this page, none. Go elsewhere and there's a-plenty of such.
Nov-03-15  kamagong24: great game by both players!!!
