  zanzibar: <perf> you have too many people on ignore for that link to be useful.

Can't you use the right-click trick on the date to get a universal link to the comment you want to ref?

  perfidious: <zed>, no idea what right-click device you mean.

As to the other, twenty-eight are in iggydumb at the moment.

  zanzibar: <perf> take any comment, put your mouse over the date (on the left) and press the left-mouse button.

There should be a pop-up menu where you can find a <Copy Link Address> to the clipboard.

That link will be valid for everybody, everywhere, when you paste into your comment.

  zanzibar: A word of explanation - the date perma-link doesn't reference kpages, it just uses the reply number.

Your link looks like this:

<http:// /perl/chessplayer?pid=95915&kpage=7653#reply20443- 4>

And the kpage is calculated with your iggies, which ain't the same as mine.

A good link will look like this:

<http:// /perl/kibitzing?kid=G1859508&reply=5>

without a kpage in the url.
