Classical games: Levon Aronian beat Fabiano Caruana 6 to 5, with 13 draws. Including rapid/exhibition games: Levon Aronian beat Fabiano Caruana 17 to 8, with 19 draws. Only rapid/exhibition games: Levon Aronian beat Fabiano Caruana 11 to 3, with 6 draws.

Fab fairs poorly in blitz and marginally better in rapid, but to say he can not beat Aronian is a slight exaggeration.
