This match is turning in to a war of attrition.

While there is the one-in-a-million chance of White blundering, it seems whenever Goryachkina gets a chance, she is determined to strongly emphasize that it is she who has the initiative and her opponent is stuck to passivity even in a drawn position.

Probably wouldn't happen in tournament play but might have some psych plusses in a tense match.

True. It's easy to forget from our computer screens that this is a blood-and-guts match; warfare up close and personal. They are game enemies; it might look petty but you do what you have to to win, including seemingly irrational efforts.
