Mar-17-20  PhilFeeley: Go Ian! Take down another one.
Mar-17-20  Imran Iskandar: The blitzer vs the time trouble addict. I'm predicting 1 hr 30 min for Nepo and 10 min for Grischuk by move 20.
Mar-18-20  Pedro Fernandez: Good morning! In London 2018 Nakamura did play 17.Ne4 vs MVL. It is probable 17.Kh2 be a novelty.

An Englishman: <IskandAr>, sorry about the misspelling.
Mar-18-20  thegoodanarchist: Can a time-trouble addict become world chess champion?
Mar-18-20  thegoodanarchist: <offramp: The pawns will tell you that this was a Berlin.>

Yeah, I remember one night when my pawns started talking. I swore off tequila after that.

An Englishman: Good Morning: As for the game itself, it superficially looks more frustrating than complicated. All 8 of the remaining pieces seem to sit on the wrong squares and not work together. Consider 23.Rf3 and 24.Bc1. They almost appear random. Have no idea what either player can do. Studying 25.Nxe6,fxe6; 26.Rd3,Ng6; 27.f4,Rf8; 28.g3,hxg3+; 29.Kxg3, but that doesn't look too impressive for White.

keypusher: *ghastly pale* Is this a Berlin I see before me?

mjmorri: White's isolated pawns seem vulnerable. Perhaps Black can work up some play against them.

An Englishman: Good Morning: 33...Rb8 threatens ...b6-b5-b4 hoping to do something with the Queen side majority. White can't do anything on the d-file because of the Be6 unless he tries to exchange all four Rooks on d8. Still looks drawish to me--the Black King is useless--but Grischuk might have done better over the last the few moves than Nepomniachtchi.
