Mar-21-20  fisayo123: Another Catalan in which Ding gets virtually nothing.

I'm sure he did a lot of analysis of his chess prior to the Candidates and he'll have realized his record in this opening is nothing special. 3 whites in the first 4 games with only 1.5/4 to show for it.

Now a host of black games coming up. Ding can kiss his chances goodbye unless he really starts to take some risks in regards to his openings.

Absolutely agree !

I wanted. and indeed expected more from him today.

Giri needs to be broken down to get to the promised land .

Mar-21-20  drsilicon: Last move is a total blunder. Switches from even to plus 2. Did the last move really take place?
Mar-21-20  parmetd: No. Kings to the center are notorious dgt errors from arbiters. You would think that dgt would have fixed this two decades ago.
Mar-21-20  OrangeTulip: <parmetd> Im am wondering what dgt means? If it’s well notated:)
Mar-22-20  Mazymetric: Stockfish gives final position a +4.45 at depth 44.
Mar-30-20  parmetd: It's the company name.
Mar-07-21  Messiah: A surprisingly ineffective choice of a line by GM Ding Liren. It almost seems like a super easy draw with Black!
