  fredthebear: Let's not forget that both players above challenged Magnus Carlson for his world championship title. Both players excel in the classical style, which includes the Italian game. This is a heavyweight prize fight; the battle did not disappoint.

The contest features a common Italian game theme as Black's kingside bishop and knight attack White's f2-square, and the queen joins them. White is on the defensive, and tries to strike back in the center. In chess, the attacker must have all the answers to various responses while the defender need only to find one path of escape.
