A couple of years ago I remember reading about that possibility if Scotland should one day gain independence. But he is getting too old, he is 84 now, and as I understand it, his mental faculties are somewhat dwindling. |

And given that we are talking about bilions of pounds each year (£4.7bn last year), I think it's safe to say that North Sea Oil alone should more or less secure an independent Scotland economically. |
