KingG: I think this is the brother of the mathematical genius Terence Tao(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terenc...), who won the Fields medal last year.
Feb-08-07  whatthefat: Indeed it is. He's the strongest untitled player in Australia.

Trevor has now scored his third IM norm at the 2012 Queenstown Classic so a title should be awarded very shortly. Congratulations Trevor.

twinlark: Congratulations Trevor on having your IM title formally awarded to you. What an absolutely outstanding result to come back after 6 years and immediately win your 3rd IM norm and the title.

Hope you keep it up.

Apr-18-12  ozmikey: Congratulations to Trevor. If he'd had the inclination to really work at his game he would surely be a GM by now...at the 1994 Olympiad he was already taking points and half-points off titled players (including a draw with black against Sergey Kudrin which unfortunately isn't in the database here), and this was when he was still almost entirely a "natural" player.
