Peligroso Patzer: The following is a fine win by today's Player of the Day against a 20-year-old Laszlo Szabo (who had won the Hungarian Championship at the age of 18): S Boros vs Szabo, 1937

Sneaky: Seems like not much is known about this player, other than that he passed away at a terribly young age.

I do not know anything about Boros's biography, but his dates raise the ominous possibility that he was a victim of the Holocaust.

whiteshark: A study by Sandor Boros http://www.rubriky.net/fakty/r1997/...

Maybe some additional info, if someone is understanding Hungarian.

Oct-07-07   pawnofdoom: This guy would have made a great player. Look at the game below of how badly he beat Szabo (who did go on to become a really good player). But unfortuantely, Boros died away at the age of like 37... :(
