GrahamClayton: Walter Meiden was co-author of "Chess Master v Chess Amateur" with former world champion Max Euwe.

It is very unusual for an amateur player to co-author a book with a GM. How was Meiden chosen as Euwe's co-author?

Here is another Walter Meiden game:

Benzol: He was also co-author on "The Road To Chess Mastery" and "Chess Master And Grandmaster" IIRC.

Well, meiden (or meisjes) means girls in Dutch. There's your answer :)
