| Aug-11-08 | | Alphastar: Well, I hoped for a 5/9 score, but I had already achieved that after the 8th round, and in the last round I achieved a very nice win versus a 2283-rated kid, so I ended up with a 6/9 score to share 9th place with two others :)
Winner(s) of the tournament scored 7/9. I was never really close to the top boards except in the last round; most of the time I hung around in the subtop and in the middle of the pack. The last 5 rounds I scored 4 points out of 5 games though with a few nice high-rated wins. Strangely enough I scored 5 out of 5 games with the white pieces, even though most of my opening preparation was about my black openings. My TPR was 2109. |
