Apr-23-08  sonia91: Born in 1993, she is playing very well in the Euoropean Individual Women Championship: after 3 rounds she has 2,5 points with a rating performance of 2683 (she is rated 2071!!!); in 3rd round she has drawn with GM Pia Cramling http://www.chess-results.com/tnr120... http://ratings.fide.com/card.phtml?...

Apr-25-08  percyblakeney: <she is playing very well>

Wow, Kazimova is 2071 and has in the first rounds won against opponents rated 2320, 2372 and 2413, and then "just" drawn a pawn up endgame with black against 2539 rated Cramling.

Apr-25-08  percyblakeney: Kazimova lost her fifth game though, against Cmilyte (2466).
Apr-25-08  slomarko: and the game was very short, in this position

black played the wrong 17...Bf6? and after 18.Ng5

click for larger view

is basicaly all over because 18...Bg5 fails to 19.Bd5. in the game she played 18...Qd8 but then immediately resigned coz of mate. in a tough championship like this a bad game has to happen sooner or later.

Apr-25-08  percyblakeney: Ouch...
Apr-25-08  slomarko: i forgot to add that in the first diagram correct is 17...Nb4 i think.
Sep-29-15  sonia91: She is now a WGM, having crossed the 2300 barrier: http://ratings.fide.com/card.phtml?...
